Death Guild, Creepshow, and DJs descend on the Bay Area this weekend

Image:Revolverphotography.com/ghoulishgary.comAll kinds of crazy will be breaking out this weekend as venues get into the spirit of Halloween with plenty of  parties. Here's a run down of our picks of the best events around the bay.

Friday: 

SF: A double show at Hemlock Tavern gets the weekend started with psycho/spooky vibe as Death Hymn#9 and Midnight Snaxx go on early at 6PM ($5) and Thrones, Acid King, and Christian Mistress taking the 9PM slot. $10. Over at the DNA Lounge, legendary industrial Club Death Guild comes together with Meat and The Hubba Hubba Revue for an 80's Industrial/Gothic/ Burlesque extravaganza. $13 at the door, Doors at 9pm.

East Bay: For those still chasing the scene, master Blues/Swing  guitarist Charles Wheal brings his Charles Wheal Band to the stage at Cafe Van Kleef in Oakland. Doors open early no cover.

Saturday:

SF: Starting at Mezzanine Mr Roboto have their 9th Annual party where they'll give away a $1,000 prize for the best costume plus music from The Hood Internet, Flophouse, and Pandemonium Jones. Mighty has Lee Coombs plus Dylan Rhymes & vandal + Syd Gris, Dex Stekker, plus many more. Ruby Skye get all vampiric with 3 nights of events starting Friday, the highlight of which is Saturday with DJ Dan and Christopher Lawrence

East Bay: In Oakland at The New Parish are having a masquerade party featuring Lumerians plus Holy Shit and Sam + Higher Color. The Uptown is giving out prizes, surprises, plus burlesque & comedy from Hubba Hubba Revue and music from Displayed Labors Sideshow and The Black Widows.

Sunday

SF: At Bottom of the Hill nothing is what it seems with Trainwreck Riders playing Neil Young, The Dead Westerns playing The Velvet Underground, and The Human Condition playing The Beatles. Thee Parkside also gets in on the action with NoBunny, Uzi Rash, Apache, Monster Maus, and Tumor Boys covering the likes of The Stooges,  The Monks, The Damned, The Velvet Underground, and Destroy All Monsters. At Rickshaw Stop are Triple Cobra and DJ's Omar and Lumpen and Phoenix from Wave Not Wave

East Bay: In Berkeley 924 Gilman get into the party spirit with The Creepshow, Unko Atama, Emily's Army, Dirty Filthy Mugs, and Limnus - doors are at 5pm. A little later Blakes on Telegraph has Trix or Beatz featuring Lights over L.A
