Fashion feature:Christian Dada Fall 2013
Taking a break from presenting his collection in a full runway presentation last season didn't seem to impede Masanori Morikawa of Christian Dada creatively, or impede his flair for the dramatic. In fact, for Fall 2013 the designer came back to the big hall, where he clearly belongs, with a full band, choir and a bold collection of avant-garde pieces.
Almost operatic in design, the collection flowed from dark and melancholy monochromatics, to opulent primary hues that were drenched in texture.
Capping the collection off, and very nearly stealing the show with the drama they nearly created among the somewhat un-used- to-heels male models, were a fantastic array of Dada shoes, platformed and feathered, or flat and fluorescent heeled.
