From Neiman Marcus' Union Square windows to the chicest boutiques in Rockridge, the Bay Area is buzzing with preparations for the San Francisco Symphony's  The Black and White Ball. A major fashion and fund raising highlight for the society set, the event used to have a stodgy reputation but in recent years the influx of pop-music stars playing the event (such as Cyndi Lauper and The Wallflowers, both playing this year) have brought new life to the party, and so we think it's time the ladies who lunch try on a little new fashion for the event.
