Known as the Wa-Kimono line of the h. Naoto fashion dynasty, Gouk and its designer Takeshi Kunitomo have been making waves on the Tokyo fashion scene in recent weeks with a unique old meets new, East meets West fashion vision.

Whittle for Style WyldeThe Spring/Summer 2012 collection, which was shown for the first time ever in the continental United States on Saturday afternoon at the Northern California Cherry Blossom festival, continued on this style arc with traditional florals mixed together in contrasting colors to create a modern fashion-forward feel, and traditional silhouettes paired with punk/gothic lolita accents.

The palette made up of bright pinks, reds and purples, accentuated with blacks, neutrals and occasional pops of grass-green details brought an irresistibly Springy vibe to the looks that felt fresh, and quite simply fun to wear.
