From the New York Punk scene to the stages of the San Francisco Opera, designer Corey Lynn Calter cut her fashion teeth in a remarkably diverse array of settings, all of which were beautifully blended together in a ruckus punk meets retro good girl Fall 2012 collection.

image:S.Whittle for Style WyldeGrouped into three major color stories Coral, Evergreen, and Orchid, Calter's collection showed off her keen eye for design details and her inate ability to incorporate a variety of prints and textures without ever stumbling into the 'too kitschy' territory. Extremely well constructed in shapes that flattered as much as they flirted, the pieces seemed to vibrate with energy and exuberance.

Love the styling and art direction of this, but am not sure I'm totally sold on the individual pieces.

Hmm, Of course you're entitled to your opinion, however seeing it in person might change your mind. It was very, very pretty. It's too bad you weren't able to be here. :(
