In her first full length collection designer Lindsay Degen, of Degen looked toward politics, cultural attitudes and all things idiosyncratic as inspirations for her work. The result was a Fall 2012 knitwear collection that was high on art, whimsy, and strong statement-making appeal.

"My first full ready-to-wear collection "Ask Tell' celebrates the repeal of the longstanding military policy 'Don't Ask Don't Tell' and promotes a cultural shift towards a more open-minded policy." Designer Degen said of the collection.

Although perhaps not the most wearable for the shy types in the room as many pieces played with ideas of sexuality and liberation via peek-a-book negative space in the knits and tongue-in-cheek details such as breasts and pubic hair added to the front of sweaters and shorts, the collection radiated creativity. Something that will surely make it one of the most talked-about of the week.
