Local love: gr.dano Fall 2012

When it comes to fashion, San Francisco has not always been respected as a Mecca for talented designers. But a few local labels are breaking out of that 'hippie jeans and t-shirts' reputation often attributed to the 7x7 and they are proving to be fashion forces to be reckoned with.  One such label is gr.dano, who for the last few seasons have consistently turned out professional, on-trend collections that easily hold their own on the national scene. 

For Fall 2012 gr. dano continues on their creative style arch with a well edited collection of draped dresses, and architecturally inspired separates, made fashion forward with 90's grunge plaids and layers of contrasting texture. Easily wearable for a variety of body types, the gr.dano collection strikes the delicate balance between 'accessible' and 'special' without ever tipping into the homespun hippie arena.
