Fashion Feature: A Détacher Fall 2012
There are some collections during New York Fashion week that aren't staged at one of the big venues such as Lincoln Center or Milk Studios, that aren't packed with socialites, celebrities, and wannabe hipsters, and don't involve over the top production and lighting effects, and yet they remain some of the most memorable you see all week. A Détacher Fall 2012 was one such collection.
Exquisitely constructed with a perceivable lightness of hand, the pieces served as an homage to Japanese fashion both silhouettes and floral-inspired prints.
A more vibrant color palette than we've seen from A Détacher designer Mona Kowalska in the past, which included neon oranges and fuschias tempered with neutral navies, greys, blacks and browns, added a bold energy to the collection and made the pieces appear to explode on the runway in a rush of art and design artistry.
