Fashion feature: Correll Correll

Opting out of a big, splashy show at Lincoln Center, design duo ( and twin sisters) Daphne and Vera Correll, chose just the clean light of a blank gallery setting to unveil their bold Fall 2012 collection. This decision proved to be an inspired one, as both the stripped down setting and the clean sophistication of the looks felt like a breath of fresh air after a day of big-budget shows.

A quiet strength radiated from the pieces, which were visually rich with layers of burnt orange ombre-dyed patterns woven throughout inky blacks and earthy browns.  Texture was handled deftly with nubby scarves, tweeds and even a few sequins sprinkled tastefully throughout the looks.
