Within minutes of her Spring 2012 runway show beginning, it became clear that superstar Korean designer Son Jung Wan, would be adding her name to this list of artists who have created gorgeous Capri-inspired works of art as she unveiled a sumptuous collection that was both elegant and relaxed much like life on the island itself.
image:S.Whittle for Style WyldeFilled with luxurious elements such as smooth leather shorts, and long flowing silks skirts, the Son Jung Wan Spring 2012 collection struck a perfect balance between lust worthy glamour and real-world wear-ability as the pieces never wavered into the gaudy or overly opulent arena.

A vastly talented designer Son Jung Wan produced a wide variety of casual and cocktail looks for both men and women. Each of these looks was absolutely perfect in execution and included surprising details such as long fringes that spilled like water over shoulders, and sparkling sequins which shone like sunlight on the sea.

This remarkable ability to excel in both women's and men's wear is something not easily done by most designers whom have trouble balancing the masculine and feminine features in one collection. This skill, as well as Son Jung Wan's creativity, is a huge reason the designer has developed a large loyal fan base which includes actress Kelly Rutherford who rushed onto the runway to embrace the designer at the close of the show; something many in the audience also longed to do.
