"Andy Warhol's Factory Girl goes to Coney Island" was how the Chris Benz Spring 2012 presentation was being described before the show on Monday afternoon. A wild description no doubt, but one that became perfectly clear, and clearly fit perfectly once the pieces were on display. Cacophonous colors exploded everywhere on dresses, skirts, pants and even accessories to create a vibrant, almost hallucinogenic impression that was all about young fun fashion.

A fact, that makes Benz beloved by the most daring fashion followers, but it is his exemplary cuts and tailoring that elevates his work to a level far higher than many of his colleagues whom stumble into the 'kitschy' category.

Hyper-flattering, and lust-worthy in the truest sense, (as long as you are not afraid of being noticed) the Chris Benz collection was easily the most exciting of the day, and possibly the entire week so far.
