Local Love: April Howard at The Factory this week

 

The premiere location for apparel production in San Francisco, The Factory by Evans Group hosts the debut presentation of their capsule collaboration with local designer April Howard this Thursday at the South of Market headquarters. An emerging designer who has already received wide praise for her undergraduate art-school designs, Howard was hand picked for the collaboration by Factory execs for her undeniable talent, and artistry.  "We look for designers that really have an artistic eye, who are really doing something different." Jennifer Evans of the Evans Group told Style Wylde via phone interview last week. "April has a great eye, her work is very avant-garde."

The presentation itself will consist of the three looks that make up the  April Howard for The Factory capsule  collection on live models paired with a photo gallery exhibition detailing the production process for the work. Also on hand at the event will be pieces from the April Howard Spring 2012 line.
