SF scene: April Howard capsule debut at The Factory

Thursday night Code Salon and The Factory by Evans Group hosted a debut party for the new capsule collection from local designer April Howard. Part celebration of the San Francisco independent design scene, and part fashion presentation the evening included models garbed in pieces from the collection mingling with party goers, an onsite photo exhibit, and the chance to peruse pieces from Howard's Spring 2012 collection.

Both the capsule and the larger collection impressed with originality of design and with production quality. Flipping through the rack of Spring 2012 pieces, all of which were beautifully draped and tailored, it was clear that Howard's designs were some of the best work we've seen on the local circuit in years.

Definitely a positive sign of things to come for Howard, the event was well attended by San Francisco fashion followers and stylists alike all of whom are clearly aware of Howard's talent and potential to make it big on the national fashion scene.
