Weekend plan: Cherry Blossom Festival blooms in San Francisco

Japanese fashion brand Gouk held a runway show during last years's Cherry Blossom Festival/Image:S.Whittle for Style WyldeSpring has sprung for the SF Bay area, and with it comes the Northern California Cherry Blossom Festival, an annual event celebrating the season in San Francisco's Japan Town.

 

The festival, which runs this weekend and next, in will feature food booths cultural events, live music and the Cherry Blossom Queen pageant. 

 

Also taking place during the festival, San Francisco's  center for all things Japanese pop culture, New People will host the Artist Village Bazaar Bizarre from 11-6 both weekends, featuring tons of offerings from local artists, crafters and designers.
