Saturdays Surf NYC, coming to SF

Bringing iconic surf imagery and the beach lifestyle to mega-urban settings such as New York and Tokyo, was no easy feat, but in 2009 that was exactly the mission owners behind Saturdays Surf NYC set out on. Now just 4 years later, and with three locations (2 in Manhattan and 1 in Tokyo) business is booming.

From the official website:

In August of 2009, Saturdays opened its flagship store in SoHo as New York's premier downtown surf shop. Determined to suit a lifestyle occupied with surfing, living and working in New York City, Saturdays began selling boards and wetsuits as well fine art and other lifestyle accessories. Today Saturdays designs and produces its own menswear line that has become synonymous with high-quality craftsmanship and traditional style.

Why is this of interest to already surf-centric citizens of the West Coast? Easy, this coming Thursday, April 4 the now legendary brand will make a debut in San Francisco, via a special temporary shop-in-shop at Hayes Valley's Welcome Stranger.

Don't miss your chance to peruse the ultra sleek and chic boards, wetsuits, gear, and tons of apparel art and accessories for dry land living.

Official launch party runs 6-9PM, check out the Welcome Stranger blog for more information.
