Weekend Music Round-up
Here are our favorite picks for live music around the Bay this weekend.
Tonight, we start with American Steel, The New Trust, and Nothing Cool are at Bottom of the Hill. At Slims there's a CD release party for Stomacher along with SF locals The Frail and Honest Thomas. At the Uptown in Oakland they have the after-party for East Bay Express "Best Of The Bay" with Bart Davenport and Sam Flax & Higher Color.
On Saturday we start at the Hemlock Tavern where they have two shows. The early show (at 6pm) features The Frustrations and The Mindless Things, and at 9.30, they have Barbarba Manning & the Sleaze Tax and Woog Riots. At 111 Minna we see the launch of club1994 featuring strictly 90's music which includes a groovy DJ set by Lady Miss Kier of Deee-lite. Local DJ favorites Julius Papp and Miguel Migs are to be found at Mighty for Salted.
Finally, Sunday sees the regular monthly residency of 2ndsunday at the Mission Rock Cafe featuring DJ's DJ Dan, Donald Glaude and many more.
