Weekend Round-Up

Just one week left before the San Francisco sees the mass-exodus for Black Rock City. And while we know you are busy putting those final touches on your art-cars and getting your furry bunny suit made, why not take a break to support the local music scene? SW best-weekend bets include:

Friday:in SF:  Psychobilly takes center stage at Slims as Danish rockers Nekromantix headline supported by The Howlers and The Mutilators. $15 Doors at 8PM, tickets available here.

Friday Over in Oakland:  Power-pop and punk rock are taking over  The Stork Club with Cutless Supreme, Cleve-Land, and Gentleman of Japan. 9pm

Saturday during the day in Berkeley San Francisco's favorite punk-folk busking duo, The Ferocious Few are heading over to Berkeley's sunbelt during the day to play the Beehive Market. 12:30pm- Admission is Free. 1701 San Pablo Ave.

After shopping the beehive, why not make it an evening in the East Bay and head over to  The Shattuck Downlow legendary reggae musician ( and one of the original Wailers) Norma Fraser. Tickets $15 in advance here, or $18 at the door.

Saturday Night in SF:It's all about indie rock at The Hemlock Tavern as  Guitar vs. Gravity, Moneypenny and on of our favorite local bands  Charmless take the stage. We highly recommend you come early and catch all three bands on this rockin' good line-up.  9:30PM $6
