Back from Coachella and don't fancy staying in this weekend? As always there are plenty of chances to catch some live music around the Bay this weekend.

Thursday:

In SF: At Rickshaw Stop you can get a dose of Cuban Surf Rock with The Cuban Cowboys alongside Chicha Libre. At Bottom of The Hill you can partake in the musical madness of a hip hop reggae rock party with The B Foundation, Pigeon John, and Cubik and Origami. Exploding volcanoes can’t stop Popscene as Delphic are replaced by Demark’s The Kissaway Trail for their weekly shindig at 330 Ritch.

East Bay: In Berkeley Casey Neill plus The Oakland Family Fight Singers are at the Starry Plough for a little Celtic infused rock. The Shattuck Down Low welcomes another member of the Wu-Tang Clan as GZA hits the stage. Over in Oakland New York Night Train return to The Uptown for another of their popular Soul Clap party which also features a dance off for a prize of $100.

Friday:

In SF: If you missed New York Night Train in Oakland then fear not as they bring the party to 111 Minna. At Mezzanine Blasthaus bring some melodic electronic as they present Bonobo with support from Yppah and Mophono. Mighty has some turntablist action with J.Rocc and DJ Apollo. For something a little harder Hemlock Tavern has some Grindcore with Early Graves along with He Who Cannot Be Named and Bomber. If heavy metal is your thing then you should also hit Thee Parkside for local Iron Maiden cover band Children of the Damned along with Hatchet, Witchaven, and Invection.

Saturday:

In SF: Rickshaw Stop has local sextet rock n roll  Sleepy Sun along with Little Wings and singer/guitarist Late Young. Miami resident and tribal house pioneer Oscar G rolls into Vessel for one of his trademark sets.  At Café Du Nord SF native Rykarda Parasol brings her rock noir sound back home along with Tiny Television and Chambers. Over at The Independent you’ll find Vancouvers (and SW favorites) Japandroids with their maximal garage rock and support by Avi Buffalo and Pepper Rabbit.

East Bay: Stork Club in Oakland has some bluegrass/rockabilly shenanigans featuring Hellbound GloryLightnin’ Woodcock, Soda & His Pawnshop Three, and Sally and the Mustangs. The Uptown has SF hipsters Or, The Whale along with Odawas and Ghost and the City. The sound of Hawaii comes to Berkeley as Rebel Soulz bring their island sounds to Shattuck Down Low alongside Palo Alto roots outfit Vintage Music Collective.
