Wardrobe rehab haiku

Years of caring for my ill mother in my home has turned my style upside-down. Now that I don't have to wear T-shirts and shorts and running shoes every day, I'm stymied as to where to go from here, closetwise. I don't have a lot of money but I know I can look better than I currently do. Where's the best place to invest in some updated threads?
