Beth Ditto takes on design

Glamour Magazine online is reporting that Beth Ditto, whom the publication describes as a “bonafide style icon”, will be designing her own line of plus-sized pieces for the British store Evans to debut in the U.K, and via mail order for customers in the US, later this year

The collection, which includes larger-sized leggings, sequined tunics, and “quite a lot of those 80’s references we’ve been seeing so much of” may not be terribly original, or terribly attractive, but it does include a couple of fun, trendy pieces perfect for the young over-size-6-set.

Ditto, who has received a flurry of media attention after being spotted with Kate Moss, and after being publicly dissed by Katy Perry (and a poison-keyboard wielding Alex Blimes) ,was previously best known as the outspoken, squirrel-eating  lead singer of the post-punk band The Gossip.  Recently, however, she has appeared in the spotlight numerous times as a LOVE Magazine cover girl,  Fashion Week attendee, and all around it-girl.
