Local fashion fans come out for Liz Lisa

image:S.Whittle for Style WyldeOn Saturday afternoon San Francisco got a crash course in Shibuya style as the Liz Lisa fashion competition took center stage at the J-Pop Summit Festival.  A judging panel, which was made up of designers from the label including Aino Owada as well as other fashion experts, ranked the local contestants on creativity, knowledge of Japanese trends, and personal style.

Choosing a winner appeared to be a very difficult task due to the highly knowledgeable contestants all of whom incorporated some aspect of the Liz Lisa trademark florals into their ensembles.

In the end, it was contestant "Mami" who won the judges over with her perfectly styled look that even included a side braid in her hair, a trend that is at its height in Japan according to the panel.
