In honor of this passion, and in honor of the coming season of Mercedes Benz Fashion Weeks, which kick off in Berlin July 4th, we are starting a new feature, Global focus, which will highlight some of our favorite collections from all over the globe. From Madrid, to Tokyo, to London and Jakarta we love all the talent out there and we hope you will too. First up, Spanish superstar designer Agatha Ruiz de la Prada.
A Cacophony of color and print that bubbled over with youthful exuberance but was never short on flawless tailoring and impeccable construction, the Agatha Ruiz de la Prada Fall 2012 collection showcased exactly why the designer is one of Spain's legendary fashion icons.

With decades of successes under her belt, which began almost immediately after she launched her first line in 1981, Ruiz de la Prada has a razor-sharp view point that is as much about Spanish Art and Culture as it is about fashion.

Like wearable works of modern art the Fall 2012 collection really exemplified this point of view, where plays on volume, contrasting color palettes and whimsical almost Pop-Art touches were everywhere.

Bright, bold, and impeccably balanced between young and sophisticated this collection was a prime example of continental style; perfect in Madrid, Milan or even Minneapolis.
