Wong, Kaewkamon, and Youngji may not be the names most North American fashion fans think of when they hear the words "Superstar designer". But, the work presented by these young up and comers at the Asia Fashion Exchange in Singapore last month proves it won't be long before these names are on the tip of tongues everywhere.

An off-season stomping ground for many Western designers, it's no secret that Asia has served as muse for everyone from Marc Jacobs to John Galliano, but it has been a very infrequent occasion that an Asia-based designer has broken through to become a major star in the Western markets.

Enter the Audi Star Creation competition at the Asia Fashion Exchange. A competition organized by Singapore's Textile & Fashion Federation, the Audi Star Creation "aims to uncover Asian talents, present them with the opportunity to launch their fashion careers and groom them into tomorrow’s top fashion designers." Now in its third year, the competition has really found its feet and begun to deliver with the most diverse, and most talented group of designers participating to date.
