For Fall 2011 what has been known as Los Angeles Fashion Weekend, is getting a serious upgrade with a full week of events and parties promoting the West Coast Fashion industry. The new LA Fashion Week has been smartly scheduled in symphony with a variety of events including LA Market Week, an event that draws major department store and boutique buyers from all over the country to downtown Los Angeles, Concept LA , an event that focuses on new and emerging designers, and private viewing events for local designers such as Sue Wong, and Lauren Elaine.

Whittle for Style WyldeNot only the most prestigious event for designers on the West Coast, LA Fashion Week also serves as a great "breaking in to the business" opportunity for models from all over the US. Past season events have featured break-out stars such as America's Next Top Models Jessica Serfaty (pictured left) and Alexandria Everett.

Just in: The Gallery LA's Micky Hoffman just announced via twitter and Facebook, that a few of the designers participating in LA Fashion Week will be "XCVI, Denim of Virtue, Doctrine Jeans, Civil Society, Z-Brand, Nicole Lee, Tash Limited and Alejandra."
