Elise Øverland shows softer side for Spring 2011
Last season, Elise Øverland impressed critics and fashion fans alike with an edgy collection that highlighted her rock n' roll costume design past with loads of leather and furs. For her Spring 2011 collection, the designer lightened up her vision by incorporating silks, and lace in an array of neutrals with touches of chartreuse and peacock.
Overall more "festival" than "arena", the Rock n' Roll spirit was definitely still present as the collection began with lacy hippie-girl dresses intermingled with harder leather skirts and an unbelievably well tailored leather jumpsuit (pictured right).
As the show progressed Øverland slowly worked in the brighter summery looks that sparkled and shined with serious sunset-strip appeal.
