Timo Weiland 's Spring stunner
Drawing on classic American sportswear elements, such as nautical details and giving them a post-punk twist by incorporating ink-blot patterns and a mash-up of prints, designers Timo Weiland and Alan Eckstein of Timo Weiland, showed a Spring 2011 collection that was nothing short of genius.
Splashy, bold, and at times down right irreverent with a undeniable punk edge the collection redefined items that are synonymous with preppy style such as waffle Henley shirts, poplin jackets, blue jeans and polo shirts to the extent that even the die-hard all black wardrobe lovers whom are never seen without their velvet and leather could find something to lust after, be it shrunken jackets, or textured multi-layered lace skirts.
Easily one of the favorite collections seen thus far by the SW team, selecting one or even two looks as 'best' is nearly impossible, however a few of the favorites included the ink-blot print rain coat and matching dress ( above right) the his-and her shorts suits in red and blue hues (above left) and they reimagined sport coat and chinos in tomato and khaki (left).
