Charity events and networking parties highlight week local style this week

There are a plenty of opportunities to get out and discover local fashion this week as a series of events focused on everything from business to charitable acts kicks off around San Francisco including:

Tuesday and Wednesday:

Ports 1961 Trunk Show at Mc Mullen boutique on Grand Avenue in Oakland.  2-7PM Tuesday and Wednesday RSVP to info@shopmcmullen.com.

Thursday:

Fashion Mash-Up returns to Pigment Cosmetics  this time the topic is The Business of Fashion. Speakers include : BACCA DA SILVA of Bacca Da Silva Atelier, DEE SMITH of Luxe Boutique,DEL GERONIMO Halo Republic and Uber Fashion Photographer, IVAN LOPEZ of Artillery Apparel and Gallery, JOANNA RILEY WEIDENMILLER of 360 Fashion Network,  NOAH GUY of Joshu + Vela. $10 donation to San Francisco Fashion and Merchants Alliance requested at the door. 6-9pm

Friday:

If you haven't bought your ticket for Fashion Fights Aids, a charity runway event which we first announced last month, don't fret there is still time to support this important cause, and check out a bevy of local fashion up-and-comers.  In the addition to the numerous local fashion designers showing at the event, a special live performance by Bay Area dance troupe HyDef , and an after party hosted by Set4Life Entertainment will also  be on the agenda. Tickets range from $15 to $20 pre-sale and are available at eventbrite.  Doors at 8pm Runway show at 9pm.

Saturday:

A relative newcomer to the nightlife scene, The Parlor has hosted several style events since it's opening some months ago, this week  THE FASHION TOUR, comes to the Leavenworth space bringing with it a little something for everyone including: Beauty Demos, sample sales, music, cocktails and the world premiere of Fifteen Minutes, a short film featuring the work of Bacca di Silva and Del Geronimo. $10 suggested donation to the San Francisco Fashion and Merchants Alliance at the door 5-9:30pm.

Also on Saturday:

SENSual, A Summer Fashion Show and After Party, featuring GG Connections, DVine Designs and Empower bodies.  Just in time for the return of warm weather, bikinis, and sundresses are storming the runway at Club Sens, on the Embarcadero.  9PM- 2AM No cover before 10PM.
