Review: Echo & The Bunnymen, The Fountain

Indie-before indie was a tired cliché, Echo and The Bunnymen have been a defining force in “alternative” music since the early 1980's, and their newest offering The Fountain, proves Ian McCulloch and crew can still create a layered yet accessible sound that will will influence other acts for years to come.

From the opening chords of the super-catchy sure to be radio hit “I Think I Need It Too”,  to the darkly danceable “Drivetime”, The Fountain is a glorious celebration of music that mixes pop tune rhythms with emotion fueled lyrics and organic guitar riffs for an intoxicating creation that must not be missed.

The Fountain is currently available on iTunes and in physical stores next Tuesday, November 10.
