Live Music round-up
If overexposure to turkey and family has you climbing the walls by Friday morning, never fear there are plenty of live music events going off around the bay where you can blow off some steam, and dance off some carbs.
Thursday: What could be better than dysfunctional family fun @ The Knockout! Featuring, music booze and late night family bingo with host Yule Be Sorry.
Friday: Starting in SF, Dave Smallen , The Soft White Sixties and Lite Brite are getting their indie-rocks off at Bottom of the Hill. Doors at 8:30/ $12. Post-hardcore heros Norma Jean rock Slims with guest Horse the Band, The Chariot and Arsonists Get All the Girls. Doors 7:00, $15adv/$17door. Over on the northside Lilofee, Danny James and SW favorite The Ferocious Fewmake an eclectic alternative line-up at The Hemlock Tavern. Door 9:00 $6.
In the east bay, The Lovemakers Silverswans and Chambers are bringing electronic/indie to Oakland's The Uptown, while Echo location, The Blind, Commissure and Orchestra of Antlers are rocking the Starry Plough in Berkeley.
Saturday:
Starting in SF, El SuperRitmo, Colossal Yes and Bye Bye Blackbirds mix it up at the Make-Out Room, while Dizzy Balloon get their post-turkey groove on at the Rickshaw Stop.
In the east bay, Igor and the Red Elvises mix world music and big band sounds at the Shattuck Downlow 9PM $15 adv at ticketweb, while Oakland's The Stork Club throws a FREE post-Thanksgiving dance party!
