Drugstore deal: Neutrogena Naturals

c.hope for Style WyldeDrugstore deal is an ongoing series on Style Wylde where we discover the fantastic beauty products that won't break your budget, and that are easily found at drugstores nationwide. The latest discovery: Neutrogena Naturals Fresh Cleansing + Makeup Remover, which Style Wylde beauty contributor Bianca used for a week before writing her review.

So here's the deal, I love, love, love(!) the idea of 'all natural' products. I love every aspect of the concept: Non irritating, never tested on animals, paraben free, you name it! I absolutely love the idea of  incorporating less chemicals into my daily routine, and I love that so many companies are coming up with nature-based products.

But unfortunately,  in reality, I find all-natural facial cleansers and makeup removers rarely work as promised.

Here's the problem, while I love the idea of natural beauty products, I still use a lot of things that aren't natural. I admit it, I regularly use  things like make-up primer and long wearing mascara that absolutely won't be budged by those non-irritating, never tested on animals, paraben-free products.  Sure they  feel great going on, but after I've splashed and splashed with water I still have a weird, waxy makeup film on my face.  And face film is almost never a good thing, it leads to blocked pores, pimples and a variety of other horrors.

Because of this, I had pretty much given up on going natural, until I spotted Neutrogena naturals, facial cleansing+ makeup remover and was tasked with testing it for Style Wylde.

Although I've totally used Neutrogena products since I was a teenager, and I've always known them to be effective I was a little dubious before I tried this new line. Can something made by a major corporation really be natural, and if it is, will it actually work?

Well according to the package, it is mostly natural.  The product is 86% plant based (with the remaining 14% being "essential to blend product together and ensure effectiveness") it  contains no chemicals, dyes, or sulfates, and isn't tested on animals.

And get this, it TOTALLY worked. With just one lather long wearing foundation, primer, and even waterproof mascara was easily whisked away without any scrubbing or rubbing needed; which was a godsend for my poor overworked, over tired skin. The scent is light and faintly reminded me of fresh pears, which I loved despite the fact that I normally loathe fruit scented products. (I can't stand things that smell overly sweet and chemically, this however was just fresh and light, like pears actually smell in reality)

After the first use I was happy with the makeup removing aspect, and after a week of use I my skin appeared clearer and brighter than before, which I have to assume can be credited to gentle cleansing every night without over drying or leaving residue behind.

And the best part about this whole experiment? I picked up the bottle for just under $6 at my local Target. Which compared to all of my normal $25+ products, is an insane drugstore deal.
