Behind the scenes: A Détacher Fall 2014

Never disappointing with its utterly original hair and beauty, the A Détacher show is always a Style Wylde favorite at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week New York. Additionally, as A Détacher designer Mona Kowalska often draws on Japan and Japanese fashion for inspiration, we thought it would be the perfect transition to our upcoming moment-by-moment coverage of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Tokyo, from which we will begin daily updates on March 17th. And so, we saved behind the scenes at A tacher Fall 2014 for last of our New York Beauty coverage. We hope you enjoy it as much as we did.

Hair at A Détacher Fall 2014 was an elaborate "wrap around" style, that created a deconstructed, naturally wind-blown look that almost felt like a modern beehive. In order to keep the hair as intended before the show, model's heads were wrapped in mesh scarfs, which they wore backstage (and which for a while we thought was the final look!)
