Backstage beauty: Band of Outsiders Fall 2012

The Band of Outsiders Fall 2012 collection was a cinematic masterpiece that blended imagery from classic western films, Mexican folkart and surrealism. An epic under taking for the designer of course, but also an epic undertaking for the master artists at Shiseido and Bumble and Bumble who created a show stopping beauty look to complete the collection.

Shiseido Artistic Director Dick Page and his team created the look by blending the NEW Shiseido Radiant Lifting Foundation, (launch date:  August 2012)  over model's skin to smooth out imperfections. Next a natural sunkissed bronzing effect was created with the new Limited Edition Camelia Compact (launch date: October 2012), using the gold and brown tones on the cheeks and the lighter white/ivory highlighting tones around the eyes.  Finally to differentiate between the "Boy-Girl" looks and the  "Girl-Girl" sections in the collection, Page added a slash of the new Shiseido Lacquer Rouge in Nocturne (launch date: August 2012) to the center of the lower lip for the more feminine looks.

Meanwhile the  Bumble and bumble artists led by key stylist Duffy created roughed up, tossled looks with a combination of Bumble and bumble Surf Spray and Bumble and Bumble Thickening Spray, along with lots of carefully executed back-combing.

The end result: Gorgeously windswept beauty.
