Etsy Obsessed: Sherry Truitt Studios
This was going to be an article on Portland, OR artist Erin Dollar and her HYSTERICAL Etsy shop of knitted beards. No, not the “I’m Ricky Martin’s girlfriend” type of beard, the literal beard, the beard you wear on your face should your testosterone levels make it possible.
Fake beards are super funny, no? I can see them becoming a HUGE hit in the hip-centric mission bars, but I digress, this is not an “Etsy obsessed” about Erin (although the more I think about it, I AM obsessed with her, and her beards!)
This Etsy obsession came to me when I was reading a write-up about Erin, on the Portland-based Modishblog and spotted a gorgeous necklace on the side bar.
The necklace was a link, and the link sent me to today’s ETSY obsession, Sherry Truitt Studios!
Originally taken by the vintage map pendant because I am having a vintage-map moment lately, I was soon gobsmacked by the Scene Stealers Series! Small slices of wonderment, these unique pieces are like tiny dioramas set in silver. How they were assembled baffles me, but I know they will look great with my favorite little black dress, or just a plain t-shirt and jeans.
In addition to the Scene Stealer series, the shop also has fantastic compass cufflinks, spirit-level bangles, and a variety of beautiful beadwork.
For more gorgeous things, check out the Sherry Truit Studios Etsy Shop and then, before you exit Etsy, check out those Beards!!
