Denim consuls and designer collaborations this week

Alternative Apparel launches it's limited edition designer collaborations today via internet-hotspot Refinery 29, with dresses and tees designed by  Jeremy Scott and Richard Chai. Super wearable and affordable these pieces easily transition from early Spring, to Summer to Fall and  all are under $150.  Our favorite: the Jeremy Scott sleeveless hooded mini-dress pictured above.

Reminder: As we mentioned yesterday, Shop Social goes off tonight at the W hotel. Featured designers include Martha-Davis Shoes, Harputs Own and Serial Cultura.  Page 2 for more details.

Skinny, boot cut, low rise or mom jeans, these days everything is in! So why not focus on the cut that fits YOUR body best.  Not sure what that might be? Head on over to Mc Mullen on Grand Avenue in Oakland on Wednesday from 2pm-7pm  for personal denim consultations with experts from London's  'it' line MiH Denim.

Sneak Peek: On Friday the much anticipated Zac Posen for Target collection is due to hit the floor at stores nationwide, however a little birdie told us that nearly all  stores start putting pieces out the night before; so if you've been waiting to see the pieces in person be sure to buzz by the big box stores local outlets on Thursday night.  SW hint: our research shows the best selection of previous designer collections were found at the Albany location just off 80 in the east bay.   To see the collection online the best photos are available at The Greyest Ghost.
