
'Frocktober', Happy Hours highlight events kicking off this week
Any smart shopper knows October is prime time for sales as boutiques and major departments stores clear out summer and fall merchandise to get ready for the approaching holiday season. But with so many sales going on all month long how does one decide which stores to stop by and which to skip?

What: All month long the Mission district style spot is offering 20% off all dresses as part of their Frocktober event.

What: Every Thursday night in October Oakland's Fit Clothing will be hosting Happy Hour form 5-7pm.
Why it's worth checking out: Fit clothing carries one of the best selections of European, and harder-to find labels in the Bay Area. Each week during the event a different category of merchandise will be discounted 20%, giving shoppers added incentive to explore brands they may not be familiar with. Oh yeah, and there will be free wine!
