'Frocktober', Happy Hours highlight events kicking off this week

Any smart shopper knows October is prime time for sales as boutiques and major departments stores clear out summer and fall merchandise to get ready for the approaching holiday season.  But with so many sales going on all month long how does one decide which stores to stop by and which to skip?

Never fear wyldies,  the SW team is here to sort through the chaos and help you plan your consumerism, after all who wants to spend ALL their time in line at the register. We know wyldies have much better things to do!

Events we recommend checking out :

Frocktober at Dema:

What: All month long the Mission district style  spot is offering 20% off all dresses as part of their Frocktober event.

Why it's worth checking out: Widely adored for their eclectic inventory that truly embodies the San Francisco indie style, Dema is always a great source for building personal style, and  the added discount makes shopping Dema even sweeter.

French label Cop Copine, one of the many European brands carried at FIT/Image courtesy of Cop CopineHappy Hour at Fit Clothing

What: Every Thursday night in October Oakland's Fit Clothing will be hosting Happy Hour form 5-7pm.

Why it's worth checking out: Fit clothing carries one of the best selections of European, and harder-to find labels in the Bay Area.   Each week during the event a different category of merchandise will be discounted 20%, giving shoppers added incentive to explore brands they may not be familiar with.  Oh yeah, and there will be free wine!
