SF: We kick off at Mezzanine where New Zealand roots outfit Katchafire will be making an appearance alongside Tomorrows Bad Seed and DJ Jah Yzer. Techno fans should get down to Vessel for a DJ set from club promoter, producer, techno legend and Shaman Mr C. Popscene have UK Electro-pop outfit Grum. Down at Rickshaw Stop will be Villagers, Bart Davenport, and Greg Ashley. Underground at Cafe Du Nord you'll find recent SF transplants A Decent Animal with Twilight Sleep and Top Critters. The Hotel Utah has performances by Chatham County Line, Emily Bonn & The Vivants, and Walking in Sunlight.
Friday
SF: After bringing dwn the house at Mighty, The Twelves return to SF at Mezzanine for a live show with support from DJ's John Tejada and Marc Romboy. Trance will be in full effect at Ruby Skye with Max Graham. If you're less about electronica and more about Swedish Metal then you need to get to Slims for a show by Soilwork who'll be supported by Death Angel, Augury, and Mutiny Within.
East Bay: In Oakland at The New Parish are New York's Pacha Massive. At The Uptown are Oakland's Make Me plus Dreamdate and Schande. Across the street at The Fox are Wolf Parade who'll be supported by Moools and Zola Jesus. At Stork Club will be the eclectic mix of The Spirits of the Red City, Dum Spiro Spero, and The Buckwalds. Over in Berkeley at 924 Gilman are Violation, Decent Criminal, IV, Detach Dolls, Automic Machine, and Spirits in the Basement. The Starry Plough has Murkins, Brook Lee Catastrophe, and Roy G Biv and the Mnemonic Devices.
Saturday
SF: Three Kinds of Stupid return to Rickshaw Stop with their unique dance party and performances by Memoryhouse and Baths. Bottom of the Hill have Dave Rude Band, FlexXBronco, and Monte Casino. At Hemlock Tavern are The Rantouls, The Saucy Jacks, and Dirty Cupcakes. Back at Slim's SanFrancisco based icons of punk, Swingin' Utters are moshing it up with The Cute Lepers and Stagger and Fall. Down at Thee Parkside have a happy hour at 3pm featuring The Tempermentals, Rock Fight, Psychology of Genocide, and The Hukaholix. The Red Devil Lounge is featuring Ocean Royal, Devil Said Maybe, Queen Caveat, and Halcrow.
East Bay: There's plenty of Oakland pride on display at The Uptown with local acts B Hamilton and Nectarine Pie plus Uzi Rash. It's a busy weekend at The Fox as Talib Kweli and Mos Def aka Black Star arrive with Zion-I in support. It's going to be decidely louder and harder at 924 Gilman in Berkeley with Liquored Up, Banmouth, Anti-Social, Dirtsquad, Driven By Pigs, and Kulitapa. Blakes on Telegraph have Add Moss, Thirstbusters, and Build Us Airplanes.
