stock photoIt's a long holiday weekend, and besides enjoying barbeques and fireworks, there's plenty of live music to be had in the Bay Area tonight.

Popscene host Popscene vs. Loaded at the Rickshaw Stop with live performances from Oakland's The Lovemakers and Brooklyn's Amazing Baby along side regular DJ's Aaron, Omar, and Commodore 69. Still in San Francisco, Bottom of the Hill have Sir Richard Bishop & His Freaky Araby Ensemble and you can find The Sun Kings at Cafe Du Nord.

Over in Oakland, local favorites The Heavenly States are at the Uptown Club. 

If beats are more your thing, you can check out Cream of Beat at Mighty as they feature afour round - world heavyweight championship DJ battle. This is always a popular event so grab tickets as soon as you can.

On Saturday, the Popscene guys are at it again as Aaron and Omar join jetset james for the 5th anniversary of Leisure at the Paradise Lounge.
