With so many devilishly good events going on this weekend, we have a roundup of some of the best places to be on Halloween night.
San Francisco
Bottom of the Hill has it's Halloween dance party with Loquat and LoveLikeFire. At the Rickshaw Stop you'll find Triple Cobra along with DJ Omar spinning some ghoulish beats - doors at $9, $12. 1015 Folsom is having a 4 Strings halloween with lots of dj's and a $500 cash prize for the best costume. At 103 Harriet there's a chance to catch Ben Watt as he brings his Buzzin' Fly label mates across the pond.
If you plan on being in the North beach are you can go to the Mega Halloween event - one ticket gets you access to 6 venues along the Broadway corridor. 111 Minna is also having a halloween special, this time a Kool Keith Halloween.
East Bay
First, it's a Hell-O-Ween Costume Ball at the Uptown. Doors at 9, $8 and features The Undead Boys (a dead boys tribute band), The Hobo Gobbelins, Black Widows Gothic Strip review and costume contest with CASH prizes. Cafe Van Kleef has a monstrous mix of big band and punk as Damon and the Hethens rise .
It’s a creep-over at the Stork Club. The venerable indie/punk institution hosts a costume contest and not-to-be missed party featuring Nobunny, Teutonics, Shannon and the Clams, and more.
Ceremony, Sabertooth Zombie, Never Healed, Skin Like Iron, Wolves & Thieves, and Nails take the stage at 924 Gilman in Berkeley, for a spine tingling good show. $10 at the door $8 if you are in costume.
