PLANNING AHEAD FOR APRIL:

Tickets are now onsale for Charity Fashion Show at Fort Mason Center April 2nd.

Formerly an on-campus, Stanford-student run event, Charity Fashion Show is now produced by Beyond the Dresses Public Relations, whom have moved the production to San Francisco in order to "revamp the productionto make every seat feel like front row...and to open modeling opportunities and volunteer positions to the entire Bay Area."

Each season Charity Fashion Show selects a beneficiary for the event; this year's choice will be The Princess Project, a non-profit organization that promotes self esteem among young women by providing free prom dresses and accessories for high-school aged girls that could not otherwise afford them.

Director of Public Relations for Charity Fashion Show, and owner of Beyond the Dresses, Thom Scher told SW via e-mail "No exact percentage of ticket sales goes to The Princess Project, but rather all positive revenue from the event. We're partnering with The Princess Project to increase awareness, promote a clothing drive that we will be donating a number of dresses to them directly, and then to make the final monetary donation. Moreover, CFS remains committed to its goals of promoting a diverse conception of beauty on our runway -- and raising awareness for that."

Tickets for Charity Fashion Show are available on a two levels, Priority at $80 which includes "complimentary wine tasting, guaranteed second row seating, a high-end gift bag, and special early entry" and General Admission at $50 which includes "wine tasting, access to the pre-show lounge, open seating in rows 3-6 as well as special offers from a few of our sponsors."
