Oscar de la Renta shows in support of Save Lake Tahoe

An annual event, which was first launched in 1969 with Saks Fifth Avenue and Bill Blass as major sponsors, The League to Save Lake Tahoe's summer fashion show is an event worthy of world class categorization, and one that has been honored with the participation of many major designers over the years. Drawing attendees from all over California, the event is easily the most high-profile fashion event on the West Coast.

And it's easy to see why. The location, Incline Village on the sparkling shores of Lake Tahoe is a breath-taker all its own and when paired with major fashion houses whom normally only show in New York, it becomes a jaw-dropping event like no other. (And one no self-respecting local fashionista would miss!)

This year's event was given an extra shot of excitement as America's most beloved, designer Oscar de la Renta showed his exquisite Resort 2013 collection to a crowd of 550 socialites (including Marissa Mayer, Barbara Brown and Dede Wilsey), fashionistas, press members and local philanthropists.
