Japan Fashion Week carries on, on the web

The devastating earthquake and tsunami that shook Northern Japan last month caused widespread loss both of human life and of economic stability for many of the countries 120+million citizens, including the many young, talented designers for whom Japan Fashion Week Fall 2011 was to be a career changing event. One that would give them the essential opportunity to receive  exposure for their work via the press and hopefully develop their businesses throughout new markets all over the world.

Obviously, in light of the earthquake and the continual aftershocks and concerns about radiation danger in the region, Japan Fashion Week which was originally scheduled to kick off just days after the earthquake, had to be canceled.  This cancellation left the economic future for these young designers uncertain and their collections uncovered.
