Originally conceived as a conference to support and bolster the local Austin music scene, South by South West (SXSW) has become one of the most influential music and media conferences in the United States. This year, as the conference celebrates it's 25th anniversary, fashion will take center stage as SXSW introduces Style X, or Style By, a two-day event that will feature four fashion shows and a pop-up retail space showcasing emerging designers from Austin and all over the world.
"Style By is where emerging fashion from around the world is showcased in front of the coolest and most buzz worthy creators of all things music, film and interactive."-- event promoters via the conference's official homepage.
The complete line-up for designers participating in Style X had not been finalized how ever the preliminary list shows a wide variety of labels across the clothing, accessories, and hosiery markets including:
