House hunting haiku
stock photoDear Haikusue:
When the market took a big downturn my husband and I decided it was time to start looking into buying. We have been living in a tiny 1 bedroom apartment in San Francisco for years and have been saving every penny. We have enough for a sizeable mortgage and are ready to commit. The problem is every house we look at I see so many things we will have to change/fix to make it 'perfect'. From new paint, to landscaping, to better windows every property needs something. I am thinking we should hold out for the perfect dream house that is 100% move-in ready and our style, but my husband says we should get a great deal in a good neighborhood now, and fix it up ourselves. Who's right?
Signed,
Sitting on the fence in San Francisco
