If the shoe fits

The word “trend” in footwear is quickly becoming obsolete as fashion houses show a variety of out-of-this- world styles for Fall 2009.Whether it’s over the knee boots, invisible heels, or slashed up flats designers are letting their imaginations run wild, and giving us mind boggling styles. Here are a few of our favorite looks.

Flue Vog Bitte/ Image via Flue VogNo conversation about funky footwear can begin without a mention of Canadian based Flue Vog. Originally an underground favorite in the punk scene, the brand has become a darling of musicians and celebrities alike due the line’s architectural inspired styles and hand crafted quality. Our favorite Vog for Fall 2009, the uber-sexy Bitte with it’s Bettie-Page-worthy 5.5 inch heel,  it’s hidden 1.5 inch platform, the spikey stileto, and  the tough-girl squared off toe. ($335 online or at the San Francisco Haight Street Fluvog store)

Season after season he consistently produces mind-bending clothing, shoes, and accessories that make us wish our wallets were fatter and our sense of balance better. When it comes to McQueen there is no way to choose just one shoe, so our two favorites are the sky high fetish inspired over the knee black boots ( $1,919 @ zappos)and the low cut Michael Jackson meets Gwar silver peep toe booties($1159 @zappos)

(price available on request at Metier SF)

Always a favorite, the infamous red heeled collection steals our hearts with these net and suede booties. We love the Cirque du Soleil meets 5th Avenue vibe of these pretty babies. ($1,295 @ Saks)
