Fashion feature: Ganryu Fall 2013

image:C.Hope for Style WyldeCurrently being produced under the umbrella/creative hive/massive fashion tailor incubator  of COMME des GARÇONS, the youth oriented label Ganryu unveiled an aggressive, avant-garde but firmly routed in street style Fall 2013 collection in Tokyo on Saturday afternoon.

Packed with interesting silhouettes such as ultra-dropped crotch denim, oversized boxy jackets, elongated caps, and above the ankle slouchy pants the collection had many classic  elements one associates with the  other COMME des GARÇONS labels.  For Ganryu however, those elements were given a younger, tougher make-over via colors clashing together in an aggressive explosion of energy at times, while at other moments stark monochromatic looks brought a  a cool detached vibe to the show. The result, a wildly creative collection that seemed to   seemed to yell "Get the F---- out of my way" as it stormed down the runway.
