Fashion feature: A Détacher Fall 2013

image:S.whittle for Style WyldeIf there is one thing you can count on during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week New York, it is that A Détacher designer Mona Kowalska will deliver a breathtakingly creative and inventive collection that will have you looking at fashion in a whole new light. The Fall 2013 collection, which showed at Pier 59 in New York last night, was certainly no exception.

Safari and world travel, the concepts  which the collection was designed around, are not unheard-of inspirations, yet in Kowalska's hands they become totally new and fresh. Long cozy poncho sweaters, safari print jumpsuits, globe patterned dresses, and wide legged denim with paper bag waists were all stand-out looks that hit a perfect balance between avant garde art house style and high end couture chic.

More highlights from the collection included Kowalska's trademark architectural draping, and pitch perfect accessories such as brilliant gold collars that added just a touch of luxury to the otherwise relaxed and  earthy collection.
