Eyes east: The fashion world heads to Berlin
Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Berlin, used to be considered a 'secondary' European fashion week, but it is quickly evolving into one of the most influential events of the year. With more and more media and industry bigwigs heading to the German capital each season, Berlin has proved to be a hot spot of style, especially in the avant garde realm, for many seasons. The Autumn/ Winter 2012 collections which kick off next week promise to be no exception, with more designers taking part than ever before.
Last season in Berlin we loved:
Patrick Mohr's cheeky "i want Mohr" collection complete with layers of flowing silhouettes and androgynous models.
Iris Van Herpen's love song to Alexander McQueen, featuring otherworldly construction and uber avant-garde styling
Lena Hoscheck's sweet yet sporty retro-luscious looks that could easily be worn everywhere.
A Friend by A.F.Vandevorst's edgy mix of stripes in a black-tinged reds and blues on gorgeously draped separates.
This season Style Wylde will once again be bringing you daily recaps from the runways and off site shows in Berlin complete with full color photos and behind the scenes stories.
