Animal prints and furs, gothy velvet gowns, lace, corsetry, punk rock plaids, and miles and miles of iconic florals exploded all over the runway at Betsey Johnson's Fall 2011 collection on Monday night.
image: S. Whittle for Style WyldeAlmost an historical account of the label's 33 years in the business, the collection referenced many elements that were familiar to the long time Betsey fan including crinolines, hot pants, crayon-box colors and tongue in cheek slogans.

During the finale, real-world models walked in what appeared to be archival pieces from the Betsey Johnson collection wearing matching Betsey-blonde wigs while dancing down the runway to cheers from an adoring crowd.

Not to be outdone by her doppelgangers, Ms. Johnson herself danced out on the runway with pal Patricia Fields in tow, and completed the evening with her trademark, and still impressive cartwheel.
