Toni Francesc's Urban Forest inspires awe
On Tuesday evening a packed crowd inside the Studio at Lincoln Center was awed into near silence as Spanish designer Toni Francesc unveiled Urban Forest one of the most inspired, cohesive and breathtakingly beautiful collections of the week.
Immaculately tailored pieces that were inspired by both architecture and nature were accented by warm wood accessories from Chocolat D'Or and simply glowed in a symphony of avant-garde, yet completely organic styling.
As look after look took to the runway, running the gamut between casual day wear and stunning gowns each the perfect compliment to the previous look, it became clear that Francesc had succeeded in creating a perfectly balanced nature-inspired collection that never stumbled into fashion pitfalls such as "too hippie" or "too earthy."
As the show came to a close, the audience seemed aware that they were witnessing the most inventive, fresh, and inspired collection of Fashion Week, the audience rose in a standing ovation for the designer as he took his bow on the runway.
