The unsinkable Betsey Johnson

Never one to let complications or difficulties dampen her spirits, designer Betsey Johnson  made the quick decision to scrap the planned cycling on the runway for her Spring 2011 "Tour de Betsey" collection, when several of the models proved to be two-wheeler-impaired.

Taking it all in stride, Betsey laughed off the conceptual setback and instead had models dancing, skipping, and even skateboarding on the catwalk in what proved to be the most festive event of fashion week.

As the show ended front row fans rushed the runway to embrace Betsey, who was taking her own triumphant bike ride down the catwalk, and it was clear that for Spring 2011 Betsey's light hearted approach to design will easily pull her to the head of the peloton.
